About Cleaning Contractors
Cleaning Contractors is a long-form editorial publication for people who run commercial cleaning businesses in Australia. The domain name tells the brief: contractors, not consumers; the people who win the night shift in a tower, a hospital ward, a school hall or a food plant.
The original site at cleaningcontractors.com.au is no longer recoverable in a usable form from public archives. Rather than invent a fake history, we rebuilt the title as a contemporary Australian trade journal in the same niche: practical, sceptical, and written in Australian English for owners, operations managers and supervisors.
We do not sell mops. We do not rank “top ten cleaners in your suburb”. We publish reported explainers on tenders, the Cleaning Services Award, chemical safety, infection control, cash flow and the sectors that still pay a decent rate if you know the work.
Who it is for
Owners with two vans and a hope of a third. Regional firms that just won their first government panel. Supervisors who inherited a roster that only works on a spreadsheet. Facility managers who want to understand what they are buying. Guest contributors who still have bleach on their boots.
How we work
Copy is commissioned or written to our editorial standards. We distinguish reporting from opinion. We do not take inventory from suppliers and call it journalism. Images are Creative Commons or public domain, self-hosted, and listed on the image credits page.
If you want to pitch a piece, read the write-for-us guidelines. Corrections go to the contact desk.
